According to Aminudeen, the suspects, consisting of 18 men and seven women, were detained on Saturday at the Fatima Event Centre, situated along the Hotoro Bypass in Kano.
“On Saturday, October 25, 2025, we received intelligence that a group was allegedly organizing a same-sex marriage,” he stated.
“Our operatives swiftly moved to the Fatima Event Centre, where the unlawful gathering was taking place, and apprehended 25 individuals in connection with the incident.”
He further disclosed that those arrested, including the supposed groom, were residents of various areas such as Sheka, Yar Gaya, and Kofar Nasarawa.
