Wizkid to Headline CANEX 2025 Mega Concert in Algeriayes

Nigerian superstar Wizkid has been confirmed as the headliner for the CANEX 2025 Mega Concert on Friday, September 5, in Algeria, organisers announced on September 2.

The concert, a highlight of the wider CANEX 2025 exhibition showcasing Africa’s defence, security, and cultural industries, will feature top artists from Algeria, South Africa, Congo, Kenya, and beyond.

CANEX described Wizkid’s performance as a major draw, praising his global influence and Afrobeat energy that “celebrates African culture and unites audiences worldwide.”

Social media claims suggest Wizkid could earn up to ₦6.4 billion ($4.2 million) for the show, though organisers have not confirmed the figure. His track record of high-profile performances underscores his international demand: 2018 – Performed at a royal wedding in India, reportedly earning ₦245.9 million, 2025 – Headlined Denmark’s AIA Sound Festival ($3 million) and a sold-out Madison Square Garden concert ($1 million), past shows at London’s O2 Arena and Atlanta’s State Farm Arena reportedly brought in nearly $900,000 each.
