47-Year-Old Trader Slumps, Dies at Kwaita Market in FCT
Witnesses said the incident occurred around 11:23 a.m. while she was selling garri. She reportedly stood up to buy a polythene bag to measure the product for a customer when she suddenly collapsed.
According to eyewitness Ayuba Felix, the woman slumped while trying to sit down. Market vigilantes rushed her to a nearby clinic, where she was confirmed dead on arrival.
Another witness, identified as Dogara, said the deceased hailed from Pache village and usually came to Kwaita market to sell garri on market days. He added that relatives, who later evacuated her remains, confirmed she was in good health before leaving home that morning.
Police at the Kwali division also confirmed the incident.
