Peter Obi Meets Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja, Discusses National Issues—Photos

Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday hosted Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential flag bearer, in Abuja for a private meeting.

Obi shared news of the visit on X, where he described Jonathan as an “elder brother, statesman, and leader.” He said their discussion was centered on pressing national matters and the general state of the country.

“Today in Abuja, I met with my very dear elder brother, statesman, and leader, former President Goodluck Jonathan @GEJonathan. We had a fruitful closed-door meeting and discussed the state of our dear nation,” Peter Obi wrote on X and share stunning pictures of them.

Although details of the deliberations were not made public, speculation lingers on whether the 2027 presidential elections were part of the agenda.
