Dangote Refinery Exports First Petrol – 320,000 Barrels Shipment to USA Arrive New York

 

For the first time in history, Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) Nigeria’s petrol produced by the Dangote Refinery has arrived in the United States.

The shipment was transported on the tanker Gemini Pearl, carrying about 320,000 barrels of gasoline.

The cargo was bought by global trader Vitol and much of it sold to Sunoco, a U.S. fuel distributor.

The gasoline discharged at the Sunoco Linden Terminal in New York Harbor.

This marks a major milestone for Dangote Refinery, built with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, as it demonstrates its ability to meet stringent U.S. motor fuels standards and participate in global energy markets.
