Ekiti Father Sent to jail for Allegedly Killing Daughter’s Boyfriend

A middle-aged man, identified as Ibrahim, has been remanded by an Ekiti State Magistrate Court for allegedly killing his daughter’s boyfriend.

Reports say the young boy went to visit his girlfriend at her father’s house near the Corpers’ Lodge on New Iyin Road, Ado Ekiti. During the visit, the father, who was not happy with their relationship, allegedly called on his brothers to join him in attacking the boy.

The victim was beaten badly and later died from heavy bleeding caused by the injuries.

Confirming the incident, Ekiti State Police PRO, Sunday Abutu, said:

“The girl’s father and two other suspects have been arraigned and remanded in prison.”

The case has left many residents shocked, with calls for justice for the deceased.
