Dangote Industries Limited has issued a fresh warning to truck operators against the unauthorized use of its logo, stressing that such actions have caused embarrassment to the brand.

The company noted that despite repeated cautions, some unaffiliated truckers continue to display its logo for personal gain or undisclosed reasons. Several of these vehicles, it said, have been involved in incidents wrongly linked to Dangote.

To address this, Dangote pledged to intensify monitoring in partnership with security agencies and pursue legal action against offenders.

“We have repeatedly cautioned truckers to refrain from using our logo on unauthorized vehicles. Going forward, we will step up vigilance and take decisive legal action against misuse of our brand identity,” the company stated.

Dangote also raised concerns about misinformation falsely attributing road accidents to its fleet, urging the public and media to verify facts before circulation.

With over 12,000 trucks in Nigeria—including 3,000 run by third-party contractors—Dangote operates one of Africa’s largest commercial fleets. On a daily basis, more than 6,000 vehicles support its logistics network, providing over 36,000 direct and indirect jobs.
