ADC Zamfara Attracts 100+ Defectors from APC, PDP, Boosting 2027 Election Prospects
Speaking to journalists in Gusau on Friday, Kabiru Garba, the Zamfara State Chairman of the ADC, described the influx of new members as a major boost to the party’s strength, credibility, and position in the state’s evolving political landscape.
“As I am speaking now, over 100 members from various political parties have so far defected to the ADC in Zamfara within the last ten days,” Garba announced.
Garba expressed confidence that more prominent politicians from both the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would soon align with the ADC in Zamfara. He emphasized that the party remains open to individuals with proven political integrity and a shared commitment to good governance and development.
“We are appealing to credible politicians who have a good record of political integrity to join the ADC. All we need is credibility,” Garba stressed.
Highlighting the party’s preparedness for future electoral contests, the ADC chairman affirmed that the party’s leadership and organizational structure are robust and well-positioned to drive positive change in Zamfara State and across Nigeria.
“We are ready to lead this party to success in 2027. We are capable, and our party’s manifesto is tailored toward the development of Zamfara and the nation as a whole,” Garba asserted.
He described the ADC as a welcoming platform for politicians and leaders committed to promoting positive change, transparency, and sustainable development in Nigeria’s political system.
In a notable overture, Garba declared the party’s openness to high-profile figures, stating:
“The ADC in Zamfara would be glad to welcome His Excellency, Governor Dauda Lawal, if he chooses to join our party.”
The surge in defections reflects shifting political dynamics in Zamfara, as parties reposition themselves ahead of the 2027 elections. With its recent gains, the ADC appears determined to expand its influence and emerge as a key player in the state’s political sphere.
