Nigeria Denies Entry to Eight Foreigners Over Visa Infractions
The Federal Government of Nigeria has revealed that eight foreign nationals were denied entry into the country last week after they attempted to enter without valid visas.
This disclosure was made by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment to upholding national security and immigration laws. According to the Minister, the individuals were intercepted at various points of entry and turned back in accordance with Nigeria’s immigration regulations.
Dr. Tunji-Ojo stated, “The Ministry of Interior, in collaboration with the Nigeria Immigration Service, remains vigilant in monitoring our borders and ensuring that all entrants into the country adhere strictly to our visa and entry requirements. Anyone attempting to bypass these protocols will be denied access.”
He further stressed that the action is part of a broader strategy to tighten border security and prevent unauthorized entry, which could pose security or economic risks to the nation.
The Minister reiterated the government’s resolve to continue enforcing immigration laws without compromise, while also urging all prospective visitors to ensure compliance with Nigeria’s visa policies before traveling.
